Lou Schager

Lou Schager was named president of Mosquito Joe in 2017 after joining as their Chief Operating Officer. The company started in 2010, began franchising in 2013 and has grown to over 370 franchise locations in 38 states. Mosquito Joe was acquired by Neighborly® in August of 2018.

Prior to Mosquito Joe, Lou served as Vice President of Strategy for Reinvent Hampton Roads to drive business development through economic cluster analysis as part of the Growth and Opportunity Virginia (GO Virginia) initiative in the Coastal Virginia area. In addition, he served for 27 years in the U.S. Navy where he flew F-14 and FA-18 aircraft, graduated from the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and served as the Commanding Officer of an FA-18 squadron. His Navy career culminated in Virginia Beach, VA as the Commanding Officer of Naval Air Station Oceana, providing superior customer service daily to 16,000 military and civilian personnel across 90 product lines.

Lou graduated with merit from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies at the Naval War College. Lou is also a Certified Franchise Executive under the International Franchise Association's training program.
